I had a mixed experience at Travelodge Hartlepool Marina. The location was fantastic, just a short walk to the marina and close to the town center, but the room left a lot to be desired. Although the staff were friendly and welcoming, I had issues with noise levels and the room layout, which made for an uncomfortable stay.

Rooms

The room I stayed in was an accessible one, but it had some issues. The bed was two single bases pushed together, creating an uncomfortable ridge in the middle. Additionally, I was woken up multiple times by noise from the reception area.

The staff were lovely and very friendly during my stay, which really added a positive touch to my experience.

The hotel had basic facilities, but there were no ice machines and the vending machine had a poor selection of snacks.

I had a satisfactory stay at the Travelodge Hartlepool Marina, but there were a few irritations. While the location was convenient and the room was clean, some noise issues from the nearby railway made for a less restful night. Overall, it was a decent stop, but I might not choose to return.

Rooms
6.0
The room was spacious, clean, and in line with the usual Travelodge standards, but facing the railway line led to some noise disruption.
Service

I received a warm welcome at check-in, but customer service could have been more polished; it seemed like the staff were more casual than professional.
Location

The Travelodge is conveniently located near the marina, restaurants, and a cinema, though being close to the railway line is a downside.

Several food options nearby, including a Brewers Fayre pub, which I enjoyed, adding convenience to my stay.
Facilities

Housekeeping was good and the room had all expected amenities, but the noise from the railway disturbed my sleep.

I enjoyed my stay at Travelodge Hartlepool Marina, having found the location fantastic, right by the marina with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. The check-in was efficient and the staff were welcoming, which made a positive impression. However, the shower tray was slow to drain and the stairwell carpet could definitely use a good clean. Overall, it was a good budget option.

Overall, my stay at Travelodge Hartlepool Marina had its ups and downs. The location was great for visiting the marina and local beaches, but the room and services left something to be desired. While the staff were friendly and accommodating, the lack of proper maintenance and noisy guests greatly affected my experience.

Rooms

I stayed in a room that seemed a bit cramped and was adjacent to the reception, which resulted in noise throughout the night. The shower curtain was mouldy, and the drainage was poor, making my stay less than comfortable.

The reception staff were friendly and eager to help, which made my overall experience a bit better. However, the service did come off as somewhat casual, lacking the professionalism I typically expect.
Location

Being near the marina was lovely, and it was conveniently close to the town centre and beautiful beaches. I enjoyed taking a walk around the area during my stay.
Dining

The breakfast options were disappointing. Just a breakfast box with cereal and a muffin didn't meet my expectations.
Facilities

Housekeeping could improve, as I found limescale in the kettle, and the bathroom maintenance was lacking. Overall, the facilities did not meet the cleanliness standard I would hope for.

The reception staff were friendly and helpful, though the check-in process felt a bit impersonal as I had to call a number to get assistance.
Location
